Poetry: Send us your best 3-5 poems. Simultaneous submissions are accepted, and while we very rarely accept previously published poems, we are willing to consider them (credits must be noted).
Creative Nonfiction: Send us your best 5,000 words (or less) with an introductory summary of the content. Submissions without an introductory summary will be discarded immediately without consideration. The same holds true for submissions that are clearly fictional. Simultaneous submissions are accepted, but please note that CN submissions take considerably longer to review and consider.
Photography: The cover is the only part of our journal that is photographic. Since it is prime real estate for us, our goal is to feature a meaningful image that draws attention to an important social issue, whether it has local or global implications or both. There is no hidden agenda here, only a belief that art has a responsibility to engage people in matters of the heart and matters of the day. Send your best sampling of images in electronic form or a link to an online catalog.
Manuscript Format: While we do accept hard copy submissions, we prefer electronic submissions in a single Word or RTF format. E-submissions save time, money, and material resources that we prefer to spend on the print publication itself. Hard copy submissions must include an email address or SASE for reply.
Bio-sketch: All submissions must include a brief (100 words or less) biography telling us who you are, where you're from, what you do for a living, and how you heard about Two Review. A representative sampling of previous publications is acceptable; however, please avoid carrying on about your publication record, awards, writing mentors, etc.
Response time: Due to the large number of submissions we receive, it may take several weeks before we are able to respond to each one. In general we are very quick to respond; however, in the fall we are in production mode and response time may vary. Please do not send follow-up emails unless you wish to withdraw your submission.
Copyright: Copyright reverts to authors after publication.
Payment: Contributors receive two (2) copies as payment.
Reading Period: We maintain an open reading period year round. Tracking: Please track your submissions and our response time on Duotrope.
